Phasing out of those vehicles which emit smoke and create disastrous air pollution, is essential. Auto makers should also end the production of fossil fuel based vehicles. As they suck out the nature and after that also create lots of pollution. A ban on combustion engine vehicles will help push both local and global automakers to shift towards electric vehicles. This will boost the sale of energy efficient vehicles, cut down the fuel/oil import and reduce the pollution in the atmosphere.
China government is offering generous subsidies to the makers of energy efficient vehicles. China would also gradually withdraw financial subsidies for fossil fuel based auto sector. China is also seeking to meet its promise to cap its carbon emission by 2030. The UK and France have said they will also ban the petrol and diesel driven vehicles by 2040.
By chasing them, India is also planning to phase out all petrol and diesel vehicles as well as old vehicles and will shift to the battery run ones by 2030.
Bang on. It is essential to care our nature. These small steps count.
