Bathrooms can also be Eco-friendly. How???? Below are several points which could be followed. Else if you are going to make new houses or bathrooms, try to add these features:
- Various plumbing or bathroom accessories should be water saving like Low-Water Flow based system/ Spray system which atomizes the water into millions of tiny droplets that cover 10 times as much surface area as standard shower-heads to drastically reduce water and energy usage.
- Flush and bath-tubs should have pressurized air flushing like above.
- Tiles’ material could be made up stone mines’ or any other waste material.
- Bio-sewers can be developed using night soil and then fertilizers/ compost can be made and further used.
- Incineration technology instead of flush can be installed. In this no septic system is required
- Lighting in bathrooms and toilets should be sustainable LED bulbs/lights.
- Drainage pipes from bathrooms, toilets, utility areas, kitchen, laundry areas could be diverted to garden.
- Maintenance or repairing of taps, valves or accessories should be done timely so that they should not leak and waste unnecessary water-flow.
