Fight Against Plastic- Creation of New Jobs

The war on plastic use and plastic pollution has an upside to it. It has the potential to create specific jobs in sustainability. Job search firm indeed lists some roles that could further the cause for environmental conservation. These job roles are listed below:

  • Environmental Manager: The role comes with the responsibility to oversee the environmental performance of organizations. It can earn an average annual salary of Rs. 8 lacs, which can go up to 21 lacs per annum.
  • Environmental Specialist: This refers to  one who would be involved in advising and implementing environmental protection programmes. An environmental specialist earns an average annual salary in the range of Rs. 7 to 19 lacs per annum.
  • Urban Planner: This refers to candidate who identifies sustainable solutions for community needs and develops short and long term solutions to improve and revitalise areas. An urban planner can earn an average annual salary in the range of Rs. 3.5 to 10.3 lacs per annum.
  • Environmental Health Officer: One who monitors and improves environmental health standards. This role earns an average annual salary in the range of Rs. 2.5 to 7.8 lacs per annum.
