There is a dire need for better roofing solutions to control indoor temperatures. Pal Re Materials Pvt. Ltd. Ahmedabad, a startup aims to provide high quality shelters and homes to lower income groups and has developed a roofing solution called ‘Modroof’- which is a modular roofing solution. It is fast to install and is equally strong and durable. One of the prime features of Modrpoof is that it lowers indoor temperatures by 6-8 degrees against cement or metal roofs. The company has also worked with a community organization for implementation of Ahmedabad Heat Action Plan in urban slums with sustainable roofing solutions.
