Awaken Your Sacred Feminine

The feminine aspect is deeply connected to life. Planet Earth is hospitable to life, and anything that is alive needs to be nurtured and cared for in order to survive and thrive. We call our planetary home ‘Mother Earth’ because nurture, care, empathy, love and compassion are inherent qualities of the feminine — and this feminine aspect is present in all genders, including male and female. What can be more sacred than that which has the power to make life possible? And what can be more gratifying than something that can promote peace, contentment and cooperation?

When we speak of the ‘Sacred Feminine’, we are speaking of the immense creative power and potential that is superactive in some of us, moderately active in others and perhaps dormant in most — which is why we need to, collectively and individually, reclaim the feminine aspect in all of us, regardless of our gender.

To acknowledge and reawaken the Sacred Feminine is to reconnect to life and living, and this is with reference to not just human beings but all species, the planet and everything on it. By rousing the Feminine Principle to action, we could revive our relationship with the environment and bond with it lovingly, so that any abuse perpetrated on it can be arrested and we can start a new chapter of reparation and care.

The Sacred Feminine is not circumscribed by gender. It is the unfettered, creative potential inherently present in every one of us. Expressing it could make the difference between life and death. For, desecration of the Feminine Principle would be tantamount to destroying the creator and the created. But once this underpinning principle is acknowledged and respected in all, and its potential is brought to the fore in our daily actions, as it has been in the lives of the numerous ecological and creative individuals portrayed here, then we will all do Mother Earth proud. Reclaiming our Sacred Feminine will ensure that the Earth and its beings not only survive but thrive.
